Monaco, the reference quay.
Port Hercule, Port Fontvieille, Yacht Club de Monaco: the Principality remains the world's flagship high-end yachting hub. Cursorio operates alongside resident owners and family offices.
Monaco holds a unique position in the global yachting ecosystem. The Principality combines: exceptional port infrastructure (Port Hercule hosts units up to 135 metres), legal and fiscal stability, a dense presence of family offices and private banks, year-round events (F1 Grand Prix, Monaco Yacht Show, Monte-Carlo Television Festival), and a level of discretion and service quality without equivalent in the Mediterranean.
The two ports and their profiles:
- —Port Hercule — the main port, operated by SEPM (Société d'Exploitation des Ports de Monaco). Quai Antoine 1er for large units, the T-jetty for superyachts up to 135 metres, south basin for intermediate sizes. Prime berths are limited, attribution regulated by the Yacht Club de Monaco and SEPM.
- —Port Fontvieille — more intimate secondary port to the west, favoured by Monegasque residents for its quiet character. More limited in size (up to ~55 metres).
- —Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) — reference institution, selective membership. The quality of the YCM relationship is often decisive in securing the best berths in high season.

What to anticipate.
F1 Grand Prix (late May) — Monaco's most demanding event for a superyacht. Restricted port access, prime rates multiplied, reinforced security, maximum discretion expected from press and public. Preparation 8 months ahead is mandatory.
Monaco Yacht Show (September) — one of the world's top two or three superyacht shows. For exhibited yachts, our mandate covers coordination with brokers, events teams and complementary crew. For transient yachts, Port Hercule access can be highly constrained — Port Fontvieille or neighbouring ports (Villefranche, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat) become alternatives.
Tax & residency — the Principality imposes a specific legal and tax framework. Our flag advice accounts for any Monegasque residency of the owner and the chosen ownership structure. Our usual counterparts: Monegasque lawyers specialising in maritime and patrimonial law, local private banks.
